Around the Lake

Last week during spring break something crazy happened. It actually felt like spring! The sun was out, the skies were blue... and this wasn't masking chilly winds and freezing temperatures. Nope. The snow was melting and the high was in the mid-50s. Now, I know this doesn't sound like much. But, last year winter, and I mean snow falling everyday and sub-zero degrees, lasted well into late March. So, it was only appropriate to go for a walk around the lake at school with Rachel K. when she got back from her European adventure.

We snapped a few pictures before heading to our next stop (the mall and Thai food) but basking in the rays by the lake was definitely an enjoyable part of our afternoon. It's always nice to get out and enjoy being outdoors - something that will be easier to do now that it is getting warmer. And hopefully by the next time we go for a walk around the lake, the snow will be completely melted!
